Founded in 2003, Quest Management Consultants is a human resources consulting company with expertise in career transition, leadership development, organizational effectiveness and talent acquisition. Joe Wiley is the Founder/President of Quest and his background includes a 30-year human resources career with Pfizer, General Dynamics and Monsanto. Quest is a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certified by the State of Missouri and the Minority Business Council.

Our Team

Joe Wiley – President and Founder, Quest Management Consultants and Managing Partner, OI Global Partners
Joe’s professional background includes over 30 years of human resources experience with three major St. Louis corporations: Pfizer, General Dynamics and the Monsanto Company. After 23 years with Monsanto, he chose an early retirement and decided to venture into the human resource consulting business. He founded Quest Management Consultants in August of 2003 and is the 100% owner of the company. Quest has worked with some of the top companies in St. Louis assisting them with their outplacement and staffing needs.

At Monsanto, he successfully led the chemical company’s recruiting initiative, and in addition to recruiting top talent, he developed award-winning recruitment programs. Joe also managed a number of downsizing projects across the country. He worked with a variety of career transition vendors which has given him a great deal of experience and insight into the career transition process. He has a strong foundation in human resources with assignments at plant locations, the division level and in corporate assignments. His broad experience in human resources is a plus in assisting client companies with their human resources needs. Since 2003, Quest has completed over 100 searches in a wide variety of industries across many different disciplines. Quest strives to present a balanced slate of candidates for each assignment. Joe’s broad human resource experience plays a key role in Quest Management’s ability to provide cost-effective and high quality service.
A former basketball star and member of the St. Louis University Hall of Fame, he is the consummate team player. Joe earned a BA in Sociology and MA in Urban Affairs from St. Louis University.

Joe was recognized in February 2009 by the St. Louis Business Journal as One of the Most Influential St. Louisans. In September 2009 he received the Inclusive Leadership Award which recognizes St. Louis’ most influential minority business leaders. In September 2011 he received St. Louis University’s College of Arts and Sciences Alumni Merit Award.

Finally, he finds time to serve as a basketball TV sports analyst for the St. Louis University Billiken Basketball team.

Kathie S. McCloskey – Senior Vice President, Consulting Services
Kathie McCloskey’s professional background encompasses 30 years in human resources management and organizational development in corporate and operational environments. She has been affiliated with a major healthcare system as well as companies in the defense, medical products, media and insurance industries. Earlier in her career, Kathie held positions as an account representative and branch manager for a major temporary staffing firm.

Kathie served as an organizational development consultant with responsibility for change management, leadership development, and HR strategy. She has had responsibilities as a human resource generalist with special emphasis on organizational leadership, career development, training, performance management, recruitment and organizational restructuring.

Kathie worked closely with her client organizations to develop leadership and supervisory training programs and competency-based career development programs. She partnered with a client group to develop human resource initiatives related to the complete transformation of the organization. Kathie has also been actively involved in the development of numerous human resource communications and employee relations initiatives. Throughout her career, she managed corporate restructuring and reduction-in-force processes, working closely with several career transition firms.

In addition to her experience managing reductions in force, Kathie has been through a career transition process herself and is very sensitive to the needs of our individual clients. She is able to speak to them from the perspective of one who understands the challenges of developing a career transition campaign firsthand.

Kathie earned her BA in Psychology from the University of Missouri St. Louis. She is certified as a DDI professional and leadership development facilitator. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), ASTD, and is an active volunteer in the community.

Nancy Cozart – Manager, Client Services and Office Operations
Nancy comes to Quest Management Consultants with experience in account management, marketing and client services in the healthcare industry, working with Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and health care services.

Prior to joining Quest, Nancy was an Account Manager with Magellan Health Services where she was responsible for account management, marketing, client services and the administration of EAP programs. She also provided consultations and made recommendations on workplace issues, change management, crisis intervention, stress management, and program services to customer HR Managers, Benefits Managers, and senior leadership.

In addition, Nancy managed marketing, trainings, benefits fairs and special events, and she represented her company at events. Nancy is an experienced professional, with 30 years of experience.

Nancy earned her Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
