“Come gather ’round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You’ll be drenched to the bone
If your time to you is worth savin’
Then you better start swimmin’ or you’ll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin’”
Legendary singer and songwriter Bob Dylan, who turned 75 this month, famously proclaimed “The Times They Are A-Changin” back in the heyday of the 60s. Yet, his words still hold true today. Now is a time of rapid and substantial changes in virtually every aspect of our lives. While unsettling and, yes, frustrating at times, change is an indisputable fact of life.
In working with organizational clients and individual candidates who are in the process of transitioning to a new opportunity, we have found that those who acknowledge this fact – directly and courageously – are the ones who are more apt to be successful in the long run. In case you and/or your colleagues are wrestling with the issue of change management, we encourage you read the following posts. We hope you will find this information thought-provoking and helpful as you decide how you will keep pace with the changes in your organization and in your life.
As always, we’re here to help. Please contact us or share your thoughts on any of our social media platforms.
